The E3 calendar has been shaken up this morning with the announcement of a new PPV event! Nuclear Winter 2018 will take place on December 24th, 2018 from the Wintrust Arena in Chicago, IL. Originally, Chicago was to play host to Elimination 2019 on January 27th, but E3 Officials felt we needed a big event between the S-Circuit Cup and Elimination, thus the creation of Nuclear Winter. E3 Officials provided more info, stating that every active title will be on the line at the Christmas Eve event, and that we could possibly see the crowning of the first-ever E3 Lightweight Champion, should we have a competitor who is qualified (having 5 or more wins) to take on already-qualified Ryan Chambers. We have also been informed that another Roster Trade will take place after this event, shaking up the touring rosters even more.
The creation of Nuclear Winter marks yet another new wrinkle for E3 Wrestling in a Season that will be looked back upon for its innovation. While not everything has gone as smoothly as E3 Officials have wanted, I was told that E3 President Gary Gribble is very pleased with the format, and that the format will likely stick around for Season 8, although major structural changes may be made.
While it's tough to look ahead to next season when we still have so much road to travel in the current season, the biggest change for Season 8 will undoubtedly be the switch from Fire Pro Returns to Fire Pro World, a change I'm told does not sit well with everyone in the E3 offices.
The next event on the E3 schedule is E3 LIVE - Tour A - Kansas City, MO. I'm told this will be the first Random Card Event for the company; another new idea for the current season.
